### Example: Multiply 3/4 x 6/7 x 8/9 and reduce the answer

#### Step 1

Multiply the numerators of the three fractions, but leave in factored form.

These are, 3, 6 and 8.

so you have 3 x 6 x 8

#### Step 2

Multiply the denominators of the given three fractions, but leave in factored form.

These are, 4, 7 and 9.

4 x 7 x 9

#### Step 3

Answer must also be in fraction form with new numerator and new denominator.

That is,

(3 x 6 x 8) / (4 x 7 x 9)

#### Step 4

Now factor the both numerator and denominator and look for fractions that have value of 1.

3 can be factored as (3 x 1)

6 as (2 x 3)

8 as (2 x 2 x 2)

And in denominator,

4 as (2 x 2)

7 as (7 x 1)

9 as (3 x 3)

Replace with these values:
