Line up the number with place value.
Put results (27) in Ones place value.
Note that instead of writing (27) as result we put the 7 in ones-place and carry 2 to the next place value to your left.
Add the carried value we get 72 + 2 = 74
Similarly instead of writing (74), we put 4 in tens-place and carry 7 to next place to your left.
2 x 9 = 18
Add carried value, 18 + 7 = 25
Write the result 25 straight as result.
Add 0 in the both ones-place value and tenth place value.
Multiply the 2 in the hundred place value with each number above and place the answer below on the third line.
2 x 3 =6
2 x 8 = 16 (Put the 6 in the thousand place value and carries 1)
2 x 2 + 1 = 5
